"side-by-side configuration" error on Vista64

See attached error. I did install 64-bit java, and it appears to be detecting that correctly.

I'm running vista 32bit, but have recieved the same error.
Have tried different browsers to no effect,
hopefully this is a easy fix as I am looking forward to testing Minion

Seems that I had Visual C++ 2005 installed, after updating to 2008 it worked a treat. Now for some testing.....

Had 2005 here, removed that and put in 2008, same error.

Why do we need VC++ if this app is java? *boggle*

Not a clue, but it worked for me :P.

If the installer still gives you trouble have a look in the directory which it points you too and look for the zip file with the same name, then extract it and I think thats the same as the installed ver.

Hmm, and a whole new problem arises. Trying to install the C++ 2008, and I get this error. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
