Very modular, in a 50/50 good way. I would use it just for the novelty, but change later.

Well... I changed my interface YET again....

Just a preview for now, that is all I have done lol. I will be posting a full screenshot as soon as I get everything else done, i want to make sure that everything meshes well.

edit - This is hugely inspired by one of Slitherskins early work.

FYI: All my interfaces will now be posted in my signature, also located at my portal. I think its a good area to show off my UIs and also show a kewl timeline of what I use, and I will frequently update it as I change my interface! :P

Its not pitbull, its Shadow Unit Frames. The reason their are 2 unit frames...I used to use ICE Hud or w/e, revamped my UIs and went with those ords. I feel they do the same thing as the Hud, gives me quick glance to my HP so I know when to use CDs. The reason I have the Unit frame of myself is to keep up with my runes on DK and to see exact #s of my players HP and Mana/engery/Runic power.

Ferous, my mind has always treated Diablo orbs as background art, not actual HP/Mana frames... at least, when not playing Diablo itself.

Love your new frames, by the way... those are pretty darn slick.

I'll be posting my new UF's here in a bit. They're... different.

It's a form-over-function thing. They look "cool".

Personally, I thought the "tek" trend in graphic arts died about 6 years ago. Some people are still into it, though...I get people coming to me wanting technical-style graphic design work all the time.

Personal preference. I don't think they're ugly. Hard to read - it depends on the font. Also looks good if your UI has a minimalist approach to it. Imagine a "minimal" UI with this font in it. *shudder*

/agreed.

I have tinkered with pixel fonts in my UI before. The results were awful. I prefer readable fonts. If I have to squint to read something, the font needs to go.

Better than imagining it with this in 10-point:

http://www.dafont.com/el-font-gohtic.font

(totally waiting for someone to come out with "EmoUI" using that font...)

I'd do it, but would never finish.

Working on creating an ouf of my frames at the moment, despite the headache it seems to have created xD.

Here is what I have so far:

Working off of ALZA's layout. This is my maiden voyage, so it's definitely going to take me a while to figure all of it out .

Currently I'm trying to work on cast bars. I would love for it to simply overlap the player/target unitframes, and I've almost gotten it.

The only trouble I'm having so far is that sometimes the color I have chosen and input for the cast will sometimes revert to what it was before, after one or two casts, or after targeting someone who is also casting. It's really quite peculiar. I'm also trying to gut the cast timer and spell name, but I can't seem to delete the codes without causing some sort of error in game.

Pro tip - always comment out stuff (i.e. add a "--" in front) rather than delete. That way, if you screw something up (and you WILL screw it up) you can easily revert back without having to download the original version and copy/paste code (like I did). Of course, I could have also just done "Edit>Undo" but sadly I'm not that smart :-(

So putting a -- before a code is as good as disabling it?

Yep. Example:

Code:
-- Random
-- code
-- here
Or you could also do:

Code:
--[[
Random
code
here
]]
for a bigger chunk of code.

EDIT: Also very helpful is a program called Notepad++, it supports lua syntax and makes it a LOT easier to configure lua files!

Also putting in a comment to why you have decided to comment out said code is a good habbit.

Code:
--[[ XXXX Removing for now as it doesn't work properly
random
code
here*]]--

So, my new one.

UF's are StUF, castbar is ACB, buffs are Satrina. Dominos, TotemTimers, TomQuest2, Chinchilla, Autobar, and GupPet are also visible.
