420compass

Hi,
I have modified 420compass to work with patch 2.3. I have tried to contact the author but have been unable to do so. Since I don't think that the author allowed updates and I would like to maintain the lineage of the addon I'm stuck on how to make this public. I have received a few request in the last day since I posted to the addon's page asking me to find some way to get it to people so I know there's still interest in this addon.

Last resort will be to give it a new name and give credit.

Your suggestions would be appreciated,

(My opinion only) If it has a following of people then just post and give credit to previous if you have had no contact from the author. If he decides later he doesn't like the idea, you can always have it removed.

I'd agree. It's been done many, many times. "<Insert Mod Name Here> Continued", "<Insert Mod Name Here> - Fan Update", "<Insert Mod Name Here> Reborn".

Just always provide credit where credit is due.
