have you tried opening up the .toc file (in notepad) and changing the version number? you may find it just works.

"Load out of Date AddOns" is there for a reason.

Also if theres an error popping up it might be handy if you were to post it.

I'm not good at changing some in-addon-codes, and I don't rly wanna experience some errors, so I just thought someone can handle this and make some good changes in to it so it will work perfect *naive smile*

Why? "Out of date" doesn't necessarily mean broken. The addon may work just fine, but the author didn't feel like making an update simply for the ToC version string.

Agreed. I know there are several addons that haven't been updated for a year or more and they still work perfectly.

Is that so?Oo nice... But this one had som errors I think - cause it's fading not only skills that r on cooldowns - also fading some buffs and debuffs on target t_t

This is what I get when opening .toc file:
Code:
## Interface: 30000

## Title: CooldownFader
## Notes: Opacity effect on action buttons in cooldown.
## Author: Adirelle
## Version: v1.1
## X-Date: 2008-10-14T21:15:26Z
## X-License: GPL v2 or later
## X-eMail: [email protected]

## OptionalDeps: !OmniCC

!CooldownFader.lua
What I need to do to make it not "Out of date"?

Ah, there were many WoW API changes from 3.0.2 to 3.1.0 that could have negatively affected that particular AddOn. In that case, the code itself would need to be fixed. I asked the author about it and this is what he had to say:

[14:08] <Adirelle> Torhal: I'm not using it, but AFAIK it still works
[14:08] <Torhal> Adirelle: Ah, there is someone on WoWI who is saying it's broken.
[14:09] <Adirelle> inlineaura and cooldownfader don't play nice together (they work, but hiding the countdown is quite fail)

Hey, Torhal, don't quote me like that.

Anyway, I'll take a look.

Ok, so I checked it and it should work as is with 3.1. Due to the way Blizzard coded the target frame handlers, CooldownFader may affect target buffs and debuffs.

Update: just released v1.2 with up-to-date version and (de)buff fix.

There is never ever a good or right time to do this.
