The positions are only off a slight bit. I honestly don't believe that it needs to be exactly like that for you to like it. However it's a little distracting alignment, even if you might not notice it directly.

Would be very easy/fast to get things in line, see attachment.

Trying out DBM and really missing DXE. Pretty dry for layout ideas, but I've updated my ButtonFacade skins, HUD textures, borders and bar textures.

As pretty as everything Ive ever seen from you. One question, is that sexy map with one of your shared media renaitre overlays? If so, CAN I HAVE IT??? Lol, it reminds me a lot of the original Dminimap, the dark metal one, and Id love to make mine look that way again~

still workin on it. All of the fonts are the same now except my health. Im not in a party, but im using Brethren raid frames.

Yes, and yes.

I'll check out the config and post a how to on the SharedMedia: Renaitre front page or in a pic. In the meantime, it's just the RFadeNormal background colored black and the RFadeGloss colored white as an overlay at ~30/40% opacity. Both are rotated and scaled as well.

Thats not about need thats about want. A healer needs more information displayed than DPS for either to be optimal. You cant deny that and say youve played both roles. DPS needs timers and cooldown notices to keep dots/modifiers up and when to stop/start/run. Healers need that plus a good deal of unit frames with buff/debuff indicators on every frame they are responsible to keep alive. DPS need only have the unit frames that is required for a given encounter and tactics that are most effective to get through it. Tanks would be in-between.

Just tossing everything into a DPS UI, 40 raid frames, all their pets, SCT with every event displaying and saying ITS NEEDED CUZ ITS OPINION is silly and makes no sense, for an extreme example.

Their are such things as good and bad UI design.

Hiya, good for you for making your own instead of downloading a package . It's more fun that way, I think.

A few things for you to consider:

* Grid color. If you reverse the color for your grid texture, you will have a dark pink (in the case of paladin) bar with the light pink name. It will be easier to read than having them the same shade. (pic below)

* Bar textures and fonts. Your grid, UF, and buff bars have different textures and fonts, and font faces (bold). To have a uniform look, I'd suggest having them all be the same. If you chose a certain font for a certain frame because it looks better at small sizes, I encourage you to look at various fonts to find one you can use throughout your UI. The same thing goes with the bar textures. There are many packages with textures here on WowI, you may find one that you like a lot.

* Minimap buttons. Some of those buttons you might not need all of the time. Bartender for example. Does that need to be shown? If you only use that to lock/unlock your bars, you can set a hotkey for that and get rid of the minimap button. After an addon with a minimap button is initially configured, you should ask yourself whether you need to see it again. Most addons also have chat commands or are in the addons menu, so if you do need to do something occasionally, you can look there.

* Spell numbers. Do you really need to see the amount your spell will heal for? To be frank, you should basically have it down whether a spell is a big heal, your standard heal, your fast heal, and your OMG EMERGENCY heal. If you find yourself not really looking at those numbers anyway, you may get rid of the bar clutter and lose the addon.

It's a very clean look you have there i like it. Some things you can fix:
Bosstimers overlap your dmgoutput
Making boss frame have the same look as your other units
Your debuff could be moved into the middle to easier keeping an eye on them and making that corner emty as the others. Possible position beneath your player frame.

Friend has asked me to make an interesting style of UI for him.

Just posting my UF: Player for the concept before hopping into the shower.
Thoughts/ideas?

PS: this is just the concept ;D nothing has been really done.

I don't want to debate over pixel-fonts, but a pixelfont in size 36 (read: really, really big) just looks ugly!

Although, hide nameplates or use a nameplate-addon to make the names "pixelfont"-style. Modify the font of "not ready yet"-frame.

Setup looks cool, my suggestions regard only minor tweaks.

I've fixed the whole bosstimers issue. I'll add those boss frames in...I think stuf wasn't supporting them for some reason, the one I downloaded at least.

I agree completely. I switched it to the normal font size of 8.

Lol thank you guys. I was having it tough where I wanted to put the frames.

I wanted them at 1st to be on the left side of the player, on top of each other and the bars inversed (player how it is, and target having power/class icon above health bar and having (de)buff(s) below it.

Kinda fixed forte, now ^^ looks abit better and moved player frame abit and fixed omen, and tinydps, so they dont like so boring anymore!
