A question on zoom control

I was just wondering if anyone can help me out. The map scale gives me no problem when I'm just flying around. However, as soon as I track a quest, the carbonite map instantly zooms in to as close as as it can and stays that way. I scroll out, but as soon as my cursor leaves the minimap, it zooms back in. Does anyone know how I can stop it from zoomin in like that?

Right click a non icon area of Carb map, select Scale and make sure Auto Scale Min is set to .01.
