Post Feature Request: Quest Watcher objective counter

At the moment the quest watcher lists the quest objective followed by a counter for it. E.g.
Kill chickens: 17/20

This can be problematic if the quest watcher is placed in its own window and the quest has a longer than usual name. E.g.
Very long quest objective name: 9/10
gets cropped to:
Very long quest obj...

In the absence of wordwrapping (which would be great btw ) is there any chance we can have an option or two regarding the objective counter:
  • Placing the counter to the left of the objective text. E.g.
9/10: Very long quest objective name
which would crop to something like:
    9/10: Very long que...
  • Preserving counter. E.g.
Very long quest objective name: 9/10
    would crop to something like:
    Very long ques... 9/10

I like this idea, would rather have text wrapping though.

Actually there are times when I'd prefer intelligent cropping (as outlined above) to word wrapping, particularly on overly long objective descriptions. In an ideal world the end user would be able to set the maximum number of lines that an objective title can wrap across, beyond which intelligent cropping kicks in.

E.g.
This is a very long quest objective description that goes on a bit more than it should: 8/10

To this
This is a very long
quest objective
description... 8/10

Or (optionally) this
8/10: This is a very
long quest objective
description...

Of course, mousing over the quest item could prepend the rest of the objective description to the popup window so that instead of saying:

Npc blahblah wants you to gather blah and take it to blah

it would appear as
...that goes on a bit more than it should
Npc blahblah wants you to gather blah and take it to blah

An option that flips the text to
"x/x: Do something"
should be fairly easy.

Anything else starts getting tricky, because our list control does not support tall lines that allow room for a wrap, detecting the line wraps and adding space to accommodate.

The "x/x: Do something" would certainly solve the current problem I'm seeing with some daily quest counters getting clipped in my (albeit fairly narrow) scrollable quest water window. Hoping we see it soon

3.13 is now released and has:

Added "Put objective counts before objective names" to Quest Watch options page.
