Guild Need list with tooltip notification

Not sure if these is doable, but here goes.

Im always killn and find crap. I'll get 3 stacks of some junk, vendor sell, to find out later that a guildmate has been grinding for hours just to find 20.

It would be awesome if there was a guild need list. Basically, items that you need , you could put on some sort of guild list.

Once activated, when you loot an item, in the tooltip there will be a "needed by:" with everyone in your guild that has it on their need list.

That's it in a nutshell. I think this would be amazing. And the enhancement possibilities are endless.

Again, I have no idea if this is even a possibility.

I think it would be possible, but everyone who is going to use it needs to download the addon. It wont work if only you have it.

Yeah, it would be for guilds mainly. Most guilds have addon requirements anyways. I figure it could work like the guild calendar.

But it would be a huge hit for sure.

Why not just have a section/thread devoted to guildmates posting messages if they are looking for anything in particular? I know it would be a small nuisance to have to have it set up that way instead of having an in-game feature, but it would cut down on any such requirements of needing to have the mod.

A second option would/could be to have any guildies looking for something to post a message/note in the guild window by their name (assuming the window is anything like the window in EQ2).
DISCLAIMER: I just started playing (and I hardly play at all, at that; maybe once every other week, if I'm lucky) and not in a guild ~yet~, so I don't know if the guild window has that capability.

Alot of guilds including us have this already. Problem is, people don't go to the forums all the time. It would just be very convenient to have it integrated in the tooltip.

Again, this is purely out of convenience. It would just be easier. Having to stop every time you loot something and click through 10-100+ names, just to see who might need it.

Someone could simply go into an addon interface, ctrl-click the item they are needing and it would add it to the need list. When you mouse-over an item, it would say either "NEEDED" or "Needed by: (name)


Not even sure if it's possibly, but looking over the guild calendar addon, i believe it would be.

Not sure if its still out there or even if its compatible at this point but guildAds use to do this. It would list trade skills and things for people to advertise and offer to guild mates and so on.

I havent looked for or used it in quite some time as no one in my guild ever used it aside from about 10 of us. Last i saw it you chould find it on curse.

Im looking into it. The most important thing for me is the tooltip option.
