True custom unit frame mod?

Seems that every unit frame mod out there keeps the frames restricted to little boxs, which is not what I'm looking for.

Anyone know of a mod where it's true full customization (i.e. I can move the health bar over here, the mana bar on the other side of the screen, etc.)?

You can do this with stuf. You can move the elements of a unit frame anywhere on the screen. If you want your health bar 500 pixels high and 200 wide on the left side and the mana double size and vertical on the right you can do that. The frame (whatever the size) is the only portion that responds to mouse clicks to my knowledge however.

I'm pretty sure there are several that will. I believe STUF, Shadowed UF, and (I know) oUF will allow you to do so. Not sure how much is required for some, but in oUF you can put stuff wherever you want, so long as you're willing to code it that way.

SUF won't work too well for this job. It's definitely a more restricted addon than some of those mentioned, and is focused around keeping those little boxes.

I second this. If you aren't lua savy or not wanting to edit/modify the lua, then stuf will do crazy things for yah :P I promise :O

The Stuf front page says:

Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.
Very misleading actually considering its 1000% times more customizable than pitbull

Very misleading. It's the most customizable one that I've ever worked with - admittedly, I've never dealt with oUF, but I've used agUF, Pitbull3/4, and a few others back in vanilla and bc.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll start with stuf and see how it goes from there.

I'm glad to hear that :P It is inspired I believe from Duf but its really a great customizable unit frame if you don't want to mess with oUF :P

Proud user of Stuf. I've configured it via the in game options, though custom lua is supported.

Here's a pic of what I've recently done with it (more on my UI link)..

I've done a few fun StUF UF's in the past...

Probably the most unusual of them (never could get a color scheme I liked on this design):

Something closer to standard:

Inspired by the DBM modifications that started showing up several months ago:

My old unitframes(STUF):

The black box on the left is the chat log :P
For everyone interested, the new UF for ncUI will look like that!

Oh wow, I really like that! Time to start making a 'pretty' UI again!

such nice and clean looking UIs you all attached.. Mine is a Huge cluster of LDB button plugins.. I see you all have nice Buff bar buttons. and the circle bar/map cluster Limb0 posted looks nifty. what are you guys using for the buff bar? I hate the standard Blizz one and for some reason quartz buff bars are not working for me.

@Seerah- your Screen i would be interested in knowing what you used for the elements of your UI. if you could find it in your heart to label the different elements in your screenshot?

thanks
