Hello World

Hey,

I've been wanting to learn to program with Lua inside WoW, and I took a look at a starters toturial which I found the URL to in this forum.

I've read through the whole thing, and trying to make the simple "Hello World" script to work out, though without luck.

If I press the "Addons" button on the charcter screen, I see my addon on the list, and it's enabled. But the command, which should have been added, doesn't seem to work. I only get "Type /help for a list of commands" when trying it.

The files are the same as the ones following the toturial;

If anyone has any idea what it could be, please tell me, cause it's kinda hard to learn something more, if not even this one works.

Could you send your code so we can take a good look at it? Paste in your .lua (hopefully it is not too long) and perhaps we can see the problem. (Cause the example you linked definitely works).

do you get any error messages when loading it?

Ive found the HelloClock tutorial on MMHell is a much better tutorial
