Exclamation Error after new patch today 6-28-2011

I got this error immediately after starting the game today (after the new patch finished). I don't know what it means, or even if it's Carbonite causing it. Posting it here, so that somebody might explain what I should do about it.

I also got a similar bug report, but I logged out and disabled all my addons except Carbonite and Swatter, and on logging in I didn't get any errors.

Using your list of addons (shown in the error) and comparing it to my own I think I can help narrow down the problem. I'm working on it now.

EDIT:

I actually went back and tried again with ONLY Carbonite and Swatter enabled, and I DID get the error again! It didn't come up right away, this time I ran around a little bit and it only took a few moments for it to come up. Here's mine:

Error!

I am getting a similar Error since the new patch today (6/28). Carbonite is the only addon I'm using right now. It doesn't even load, and I have the most up-to-date version. In my addon tab, in game, it says carbonite is out of date... IDK what the issue is, but if anyone knows how to resolve it, I"d like to know.

Make sure "Load Out of Date Addons" is checked.

Same issue. Multiple errors to the point Bugsack was telling me it had suspend counting them briefly, as well as Blizzard's message saying I was getting a lot. Usually I can just live with 'em but I was getting such bad fps doing the new quests I decided to disable it for a bit, and doing so did help my fps a fair bit (obviously all those people in the same small area is going to cause fps issues anyway!).

Might try to leave it on at home since my machine is much better than this one. Here's to hoping for a quick update to an awesome addon!

I guess I am not the only one. Everybody is getting the same Carbonite error. I too disabled all other addons (Auctioneer Suite and Zygor Guides), but the error still points to Carbonite.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have something else that's really bizzarre! I have a herd of baby elephants following me around. If I use my flying mount and then land again, there are more elephants! Each one is named as my guardians. I've taken several screen shots. And.... while I'm flying on my griffon, the baby elephants are flying with me as well. They don't have wings, but they fly! Ha ha.

I've had up to 8 or 10 of them in a tight-nit group following me. I can barely click on quest items or corpses because there are too many baby elephants!

I think they are "left over" from a previous quest I did in the Borean Tundra area.

EDITED: ADDED LINK TO A FEW FUNNY PICTURES

You'll still get errors. He was complaining it didn't load at all.

Known issue (though getting multiple is a new one to me.) Summon another companion and they're gone for good.

My Warlock's "Fel Guardian" is still with me. The "orphaned calves" are in addition to my regular guardian char.

See my EDITED topic (ABOVE). I added a link so that everybody else can get a chuckle out of what displays on my screen while I'm playing the game. Heh heh.

You must summon a companin pet form your companion list to remove the baby mammoths. If you use either a hunter pet or a warlock minion, they are not companion pets in the WoW definition of companion. It must be a non combat compnaion to remove the baby mammoths.

Should take this to another thread, but...

What you are showing is a summoned demon, not a companion (pet). If you have none, pick up a cat cheap (vendor just outside of stormwind?)

I am having lag issues as well, I have 19 addons, with most of them updated alreasdy today from curse client. I only disabled Omen and PlayerScore form Ten Ton Hammer. The rest except Carbonite are already updated for patch 4.2. That is not to say the lag is an issue from the Blizzard GUI anyway. My framerates are down all over any populated area, but that is normanl for me for a few days after a patch. They usually even out a bit after all the updates and hotfixes are applied to the initial bugs. I am anxious for the Carbonite update to hit though, due to the many added game features, it will be a big help to be able to use this great addon to help with those. I hope that it will also help with some of these bugs that are reported, although I would venture to say it is more than just this one addon contributing ot the issue.

I have this same problem. I have about 10 addons, but 2 are causing this same problem. Recount, and this one. Many I have updated today. a few have not.

I have a number of addons that use the changed event (why couldn't Blizzard add parameters at the end instead of stuffing them in the middle.) Most addons have already been updated, and most of the rest I had disabled in the past. I'm error free, but if I see another addon popup the message, I know what to do

I believe you are confused. I never said I had (or wanted) "companion/pets" of any kind. The Fel Guardian minion is supposed to be there. He's always been there.

I thought my point was clear, especially by providing the pictures... there are baby 'elephants' (multiplying rapidly) in addition to my Warlock minion. I never asked for those, and I see no way to get rid of them. Something in the game "is stuck" and it keeps adding more and more of those little buggers!

You seem to be confused, too. Please read what I replied to someone else about "companion/pets", etc.

I do not want any kind of a companion/pet.... especially an ever-increasing herd of baby 'elephants." That's the point I've been making.

You may "not want" a companion pet, but they are telling you that summoning one is how to fix your baby elephants problem. Go buy a companion pet, summon it, bam elephants gone. Then dismiss your pet and be done.
