Request for alteration of basic map?

does anyone know how to change / re-size the position indicators on the map?

I run a triple monitor setup, so my resolution is 3600 by 1040.

At this resolution, the native map is nearly useless, as the indicator for your position is very tiny in size, making it nearly impossible to figure out where you are.

I want to use blizzard's map if at all possible.

(Note: I am NOT referring to the mini-map in any way, shape, or form. this is fine.)

Additionally, is there a way to keep the small version of the blizzard map open when you try to open the quest log? right now opening one forces the other closed.

Try Mapster.

It will allow you to scale the Player Arrow on the World Map. The slider says 200% but you can type your own number in. Anything over like 215% though and it starts cutting of parts of the graphics of the arrow.

Not to sure if another addon causes this but I can already have my Quest Log and my World Map open at the same time. This may be because of mapster.

You can also rise your UI Scale slider under the Video Options menu.
