Wondering how to make something

Ok, so I'm no coder, but I can learn, I was curious, how can I make a bar, that shows quest items? In other words, a small bar, 4-5 squares, with quest items on them. I have quest items separated on arkinventory, but it's still a pain to find them sometimes, at least, find the right one.

Anyway, if anyone knows where I can start to look for information on how to do this. I've found one addon that can, but it's horribly out of date.
