Moving AddOn's from PC to Mac

I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but I haven't quite found it... What files should I copy from my PC (besides the addons folder) to my Mac so I don't have to attempt to re-do my whole interface? Going to my in-laws for a few days and would really like the interface I'm used to from my PC on my Powerbook.

Thanks!

It works... kinda

Coppied those files from my PC to my Powerbook, and it worked... BUT... experienced horrendous lag in Ogrimar, even worse than normal. So, next question, any mod/ui issues that ONLY effect the Mac?

Thanks in advance,

Tocho

There could be a number of reasons:

1) The memory assigned to mods is not high enough
2) The Mac has less memory than your PC
3) Bad internet connection?

TBH I don't honestly know. All mods will work both on PC's and Mac's (unless they require .exe's and .dll's to work) as far as I know.

Well it was post earlier say it all. It tough to know what is causing your lag. The suggestion made by Dark are factors that cause it. The only thing I can add or ask would be what powerbook are you running the game on?

Rename your WTF and Interface folders. Then try Ogrimar again. Don't backup the WDB folder, just delete it. WDB is the cache folder, let the game re-create that.

This'll tell you if it's the AddOns or general WoW issues.

On second thought; Just delete your WDB folder first and try that. If that doesn't work, than do what I mentioned above.

Mods are not platform specific. They'll work equally well on Mac as on PC.

...

Well, this one, for one.

As for Curse not downloading properly, try doing right-click "save as"

I have a mac-mini running OS 10.3.x for testing.
  • using the Safari internet browser find the mod you like.
  • Click on the big red download button (on our site, not sure about other sites), the download window should pop open with a progress bar.
  • Once its finished downloading you should notice a new folder icon on your mac desktop (Safari should automaticly unzip the mod if its a .zip, if its a .rar you'll need to download some other software i think).
  • Move that folder to your addons folder for World of Warcraft and follow the rest of the PC directions on how to enable addons.
