could you add a redo function and ( if possible ) a function, that allows you to return to the setting, you had, before you saved ?

1.10 has this (see the nightly build release)

ctrl + z, and ctrl+ y or Edit -> Redo / Edit -> Undo

right click menu on editor has the Redo/Undo as well.
