I don't mean to derail the thread... But what is Portal? :P Is it the valve program to run games i.e. Call of Duty or what ever?

Portal is a smallish Valve game in and of itself. Probably different from anything you've ever played. The name of the game derives from the "weapon" you carry through the game. You're trapped in a building, going through a a series of automated tests being run by an increasingly defective computer system. You have to shoot entry and exit points into and around different obstacles to get to the end of each test. Physics takes a very far back seat in this game as gravity and everything else start to lose meaning. But it is really addictive and Valve should really get around to making a much longer sequel.

Hmm I watched the trailer and it indeed looks very cool. reminds me of Myst, I loved that game. Going to check it out, thanks!

Portal is fun, wanted to play it before, but didn't want to spend the money on getting it. It is very short though =(

Well, I installed Portal, started playing it around noon this morning, and I just beat it lol.

Lord it was one hell of a ride, and ended up making me feel dizzy lol. Definitely addictive but it was too short!

I can't wait for Portal 2, anticipated to be released this coming holiday of 2010.

Once you start playing it, you can't stop till you have finished it >.> I had to watch some strats on Youtube for some levels lol. Thanks for introducing me to the game!

Also, the cake is a lie... But, I beat the game, and at the end it does show the cake....
