AutoLagTolerance broken, requesting help

I wouldn't even know where to begin looking at the lua code on how to update this addon so it works with the current patch. This addon has been HUGE for me but as of 5.0 it's completely broken, and WoW feels completely unfamiliar to me not having this addon, as my latency jumps frequently. I've tried contacting the addon author to no avail. If someone could please, PLEASE update this or teach me how to update it myself, I would be in your debt.
