keep getting debug menu

Hi, I just installed Carbonite Addon, when I login, I realize I get the debug box popping up immediately. I don't see the new map function appearing as I cannot use the M button anymore (with no new map from Carbonite popping up)

This is what it says within the debug menu

I keep getting the debug menu with this huge list of things with every function I use. I am wondering if this is because I am playing Chinese version WoW? But this shouldn't be an issue as all Addon I downloaded from Curse all worked fine.

Please help! Thanks.

I get this error also, and have a hunch it's something related to not having wow installed on C:.
I'll go through the .lua and see if changing paths to I:\world of warcraft\interface\addons\carbonite\...etc. helps the situation on my machine.

it's great to get a reply with some possibilities of solving the problem! Please let me know if editing the .lua solves the problem! I haven't tried modifying anything before, if it works, please let me know how you edited the .lua

THANKS~~~!!

It seems you are not using an English, German, French or Spanish client, which is what Carbonite supports.

There are no drive letters in addons, since files are accessed for addons by the game and can only be in the addons folders or game mpq files.

I'm using English, but I haven't found anything blatently erroneous in the .lua yet.
I'm no pro, but may be able to narrow it down in time.
The reason I toyed with using a full path is the error mentions C: right off, and I have nothing game related on that drive.
I'm beginning to notice a pattern as to when the error occurs, and hope to find the culprit someday.
I'm sure this is a very simple issue, but it's buried in an extremely long string of text.
I'm also getting the box asking me to enter a password for a chat channel again, which makes no sense to me, as I haven't changed anything lately.
I love the addon, but will have to stop using it if i can't find or get a solution to the issues soon.
Hopefully someone more qualified will take on the .lua project and be able to fix it quickly.

For my case, I'm actually running Carbonite on Chinese WOW. (Don't ask me why I went that direction....) But by the sounds of it, Carbonite is not going to work on Chinese WOW?

Chat password means some jerk put a password on the Carbonite channel it is trying to put you in. There is no way for an addon to see if a channel has a password before it tries to join it. Press Esc and it will carry on.

You could have multiple addons folders and be running a version that does not work with the game version. Search all drives for Carbonite with the hidden/system folders/files option on. Delete all Carbonite folders found and unzip it again to the AddOns folder you know you are starting the game from, then check the Carbonite version in addon list.

Could you post your error message if you still have problems?

No. You will have all types of map and other errors due to Chinese names not matching any Carbonite data. The English client on a Chinese server should work.
