SCT + Blinkstrike weapon proc help

After reading what I could I've attempted (and failed... multiple times) to make my SCT alert me as to when Blinkstrike sword proc goes off. All I really know for sure is that one of the key things is to know exactly what the combat log says and its:
You gain 1 extra attack through Blinkstrike.

Can anyone help me? Would really appreciate it
