Carbonite is not at all in programming.
I have run without any dependency.
I hope the Carbonite soon is back as 3.34.
I can not one Carbonite quest.
I admire your work, I think it's great what they do and would find it very unfortunate if Carbonite would be no more.
Keep it up and let it get to.

sorry I see this thread to late...

hi,

I delete the old ones first and then I copied the beta in the folder, but I get, only by the first time I try to use, a error. After clicking the error away nothing happend! I see only the Carbonite minimap button, and also the menu, but nothing else.

I am in no way a coder (obviously by the Delete rather than fix),
but removing this statement has fixed all of my LUA errors, it fixed my Quest Log and my FPS (due to the repeating error)
I don't know what I removed functionality wise but hopefully it may help you pinpoint the problem, also the ONLY other addon I had running was Addon Control Panel

I downloaded the addon studio for wow, if you dont know what that is, just google it. you can then open the lua file to delete the code. I have been playing for a little over 2 hours now, with NO lua errors, fully functional quest log, no fps loss. thank you Ecyrul, for your VERY helpful post, and thank you carbonite developers, for patching my all time favorite addon to work with blizzard's fail 4.0.1 patch.

The only issue that I had with the 4.0003 beta is that every once in a while, my minimap from Carbonite would zoom in and I could not see anything on it other than myself. It would become transparent. Upon zooming it out, the map came back to normal. Everything else on it appeared to be working beautifully for me.

So I turned off every add on but carbonite and I'm still having the same problems as before. My map and quest list are not updating at all and once I complete a quest it spams my chat window non stop saying its complete.
Also the beginning picture that shows up for carbonite wont go away sometimes and half the time when i log in it will not let me talk to a venders.
And this is without any add on but carbonite.

Sounds like you have a version of Carbonite less than 4.0004. Check your version number on the addon list or in the chat window when you login.

You should be on 4.0005.

Yea I double checked and also reinstalled and I still have the same problems. I'm not sure whats going on with it because my boyfriend says his works fine but my comp is two days old so I doubt its that. Any other suggestions?

Often people update and put the files in the wrong location, but think they have the current version.

Does it actually say 4.0005 in the chat window when you log into a character?
You could also see the version number in the addon list.
