As someone who has had to file numerous DMCA notices in the past (not for add-ons, but for a small business I was running), I can identify with the frustration add-on authors are feeling. Put simply, what happens to ARR add-ons is purely and completely under the control of the rights owner. Any other use without explicit permission (read: not implied because someone neglected to respond to an email) is strictly forbidden in the legal arena.

Can't wait to see how this turns out.
