Question Problem installing a custom UI

Before I start describing my problem I would like to mention that I am in no way technologically savvy, therefore please excuse any kind of extreme idiocy that I may present in this thread.

This is my first time installing a custom UI and I tried to install this one: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...eady.html#info
Once I logged into the game, I noticed that although I have all the appropriate addons, the addons are uncustomized.

These are the steps I took:
-I downloaded the file from the above url and placed it on my desktop.
-since it was a compressed RAR file I opened it using Winzip. This is its website: http://www.winzip.com/index.htm (btw I did not use the bought version but a free version that I downloaded.)
-Once I had unzipped the folder I deleted my Interface and WTF folders and replaced them with the folders that I got from the uncompressed folder.
-I then went and replaced the names in the WTF folder with my account name, server name, and character name.

Thanks for reading, and any help anyone could offer would be much appreciated.

Did you make sure to copy the profiles over while in-game?

Make sure for the account name you use the actual name of the account and not your battle.net log in. This is one of a few possible issues but generally the most common.

If you are seeing the addons but they are not showing profiles this is most likely the case. Your addon profiles are in your accountname folder.

It could also be the case that you need to run a /reflux switch <profilesetup>

No mention of doing that in the interface description though, could be some readme file.

As mentioned above it might very well be an incorrect account name given. To verify log in and out and see if a secondary account folder was created, aside from the one you extracted from the interface.

The path you want to have with the files extracted correctly is:

\\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<AccountName>\<Realm>\<char>

such as:

\\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\Spitfyre\Doomhammer\Spitteh

Reflux is not listed among the addons on the linked page however.

You can rename your WTF folder to something like wtf.old then simply log in to wow. It will make a new WTF folder. Log out and open that folder. Then open the account folder and you should see a folder with your account name on it.
