Improve quest log / favourites size

Would it be possible to improve quest log and favourite pane sizes? By that I mean:

When a quest/favourite isn't selected, hide the right-hand pane and reduce the window width so that just the left-hand portion is visible.

When a quest/favourite is selected, expand the window width and show the right-hand pane.

It would also be good if the dividing part of the window could be moved left and right, with left and right panels scaling to fit their respective pane area.
