Is this type of addon allowed?
Are you allowed to make any AddOn's that move your character, say, along a waypoint? Or is this considered cheating/against the EULA?

No your right it is completely against the TOS and the EULA.... plus to be honest its rather lazy..... you bought the game to play it..... not become a bot

Also this has been prevented by Blizzard by protecting the functions to move the character.
