can confirm it is both very late here, and the keys still aren't working...... but you know the minute you go to bed it will get fixed!

ok guys... i have now a headache... pdt, pst, gmt.......... how about we use utc (Coordinated Universal Time) from now on? it´s easy for everyone

how about we just use GMT (UTC is the lame name for GMT btw).... seeing as that is the official time for the entire world and all others a worked out from it ;p

Pretty much everywhere in the world UTC is known as GMT. I think mainly the military are responsible for the name UTC being used, I have rarely heard it referred to tbh.

The atomic clock in greenwich is the most accurate clock on the planet, and is located at the Greenwich Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Which sits bang on 0 degrees longitude. I've been there.... its sounds more impressive than it is.

0 degrees longitude sits through the UK because we were the ones who made the first maps of the entire world and guess what we stuck right in the middle... thats right..... us lol. In reality there was a big conference and they voted on some stuff.... france abstained.... typical!

well when ur in the service i would assume being able to co-ordinate with all your forces sat in different places around the world can be tricky if you are all using local time ;p

Well... this is my last refresh before bed. At least the thread updates with stuff, unlike the community page that I was refreshing every ~15 min yesterday & the day before

Battle.net maintenance completed and key still doesn't work, guess the maintenance was unrelated to our issue. Oh well, hopefully they fix it tomorrow.

Anyone know if it is possible to download a legitimate copy of the BETA client, before having a BETA key enabled on their account?

My understanding is that there is no legitimate way, no. In fact - the downloader you get when you actually are able to use your beta key ties itself to your IP inside the executable, so even if you copied someone else's downloader (which in and of itself is not legitimate) you wouldn't be able to download it.

With any luck Blizzard will sort things out before the end of Friday so we can play over the weekend.
