The Dark Portal Opens Midnight January 16th!

The Burning Legion isn’t waiting until the morning – its assault on Azeroth begins at the stroke of midnight, January 16th! Various retailers across the country are hosting midnight release parties to commemorate the event. In addition, members of the World of Warcraft team will be on hand to celebrate while signing copies of the game at four California retail locations. Check here for more details!

The Burning Crusade: Patch Released!

• Several years have passed since the Burning Legion's defeat at the Battle of Mount Hyjal - and the races of Azeroth have continued to rebuild their once shattered kingdoms. With renewed strength, the heroes of the Horde and Alliance have begun to explore the broken lands beyond the Dark Portal. What dangers or rewards await mortal champions in Draenor? And what will the Alliance and Horde do when they discover that the demons they thought vanquished have returned to renew their terrible Burning Crusade?

The Dark Portal Opens: War Unleashed Upon Azeroth

Azeroth is under attack! Horrific creatures are swarming from a suddenly active Dark Portal and have rampaged into the Blasted Lands. Defenders from Nethergarde Keep have scrambled to meet the enemy head-on. However, even with the assistance of reinforcements from the ever-vigilant Argent Dawn, the forces of Azeroth need your help!

Not much is known of the invasion at this early stage, but early reports from the battlefront describe wave after wave of demonic attackers charging from the Dark Portal. It is also reported that Lord Kazzak was seen departing through the Dark Portal. In his stead he has left his minion, Highlord Kruul, to sow fear and confusion among the defenders.

Accompanied by a host of infernals, Kruul has been seen near a number of major cities in Azeroth, along with the following outdoor areas:

• Hinterlands
• Eastern Plaguelands
• Winterspring
• Stranglethorn Vale
• Azshara
• Silithus
• Searing Gorge

Not even the elite forces of the Argent Dawn have dared attack Kruul directly. Only a large and well-coordinated group of adventurers might stand a chance of defeating him.

Extended Support Hours for Burning Crusade

Live technical support will not be available this coming Monday, January 15, due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. However, with Tuesday's arrival of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, we will be extending our support hours to 9AM–7:30PM PST, and we will be working the following Saturday to better serve our players.
