FonTabulous allows you to 'jazz up' the default Fonts in World of Warcraft. Choose from a selection of many different font styles, just follow the easy instructions and turn normal WoW into something FonTastic!!

New ingame Menu to choose/resize fonts!!:

Hello There!!!

I like this Idea! nice fonts you have made availble. Is there a tutorial on adding our own fonts? I have this font I'd like to see in the game if possible. Or maybe you like this font enough to add it to you addon?

Hello

Hmm yes, But I would not recommend this unless you're comfortable editing files.

Extract a copy of the original fonts.xml file using the Blizzard Extractor tool
Search in the file for ChatFontNormal
Enter your custom font on the same line

You may need to change the <AbsValue val="xx"/> to a number that suits the size of your font properly.

i dont know how to use the blizzard one, i think i downloaded the wrong one

ummm, i have winmpq but it doesnt work, i saw the fix a while ago but cant find it again... any suggestions

Coloswift - Hmm well I'm sorry but the Speedline font looks horrendous in WoW. I tried it and the text is near impossible to read in some areas. Some fonts look cool on their own, and its hard to tell how they would look in the WoW enviroment.

darkforce898 - Potillan released a 'fixed' WinMPQ, and its actually hosted on this site...somewhere...

On another note, FonTabulous 004 will be released momentarily.

Also, with all the changes on the Test server...FonTabulous still runs fine on it

That's all I can say.

Devla, you have done a magnificient job on this project, I would have to say. The fonts, the look, the EXTREMELY easy installation, I can't NOT reccomend this to anyone that doesn't want their UI to look pleasing to the eye. I love being able to change my font without renaming and edit and blah blah blah. Try this. It'll make your life MUCH EASIER!

I want to get FonTabulous converted over to LUA, but am not sure how to go about it. Anyone that can help please post over at:

I'm going to trim down the next version, removing the following:
Adventure
Bitstream Vera
Dustismo

Mainly because some foreign characters were not displaying properly, and secondly the fonts were too similar to other fonts already in FonTabulous.
I've also optimized 'Devla's Selection' and added a new fontstyle.

Should be out in the next day or so

Is it possible to see sheldon narrow in a release? (I dont know if bitmap fonts are possible.. for example this font has only 9pt for size) This is the best programming font there is, but i also like to use it just to read text. While we're talking about readable text, Verdana!

First, the screenshot of Street Corner timed-out on imageshack

Second, does any of these font package change the font on the mail also? Cause all the screenie I've seen are quest-log window, chat window, character window, etc.

Yea WoW needs TTF fonts. I tried the ProFont a while back and it looked funny in WoW. Verdana looks OK, but for overall read-a-bility, I think Frutiger is an excellent alternative.

Hi, odd, I pulled the screenshots down last night...are you sure its not ImageShack or your cache? Their site goes batty every once in a while. I've got all the font screenshots also over at curse, but their site has been somewhat of a problem lately. I'll look into it.

Yes, each XML should change the mail font, aside from the Insomniax XML, which uses Blizzard's Morpheus font for most mail/quest/dialog text. I told LedMirage I wouldn't change his XML for Insomniax unless I was fixing a bug.

Hi!

Installing any of the .xml gives me an error message whenever I try to retrieve mails.

The error message reads:

"Interface\FrameXML\MailFrame.lua321:OpenMailInvoiceItemLabel:SetText():Font Not Set"

Which font's XML are you using? I fixed the Invoice mail error last nite with v008.

Try this:
Delete your \Interface\FrameXML\ folder

Install FonTabulous v008

Read the install instructions and run the batch file or do the manual install

I started working on a version for 1.10. Pircio is helping me alot with the mod.

FonTabulous will have an ingame menu to select between different font styles, and maybe even a preview frame.

We just started work though, so I don't have a timeframe.

Pircio has done a great job on the menu so far. I created the little logo and have been making some other changes.

Still a few things to do but its working well, so expect a release soon
