wtf folder resets-.-

Everytime I login to one of my characters the wtf folder resets. In other words i need to reconfigure my UI every login.

Or at least the macroes and addons. Ive tryed removing addons and the WTF folder but it didnt work.

Anyone got the same problem, and if anyone has a solution it would be greatfully appreciated.

Are you alt+f4ing to get out of WoW? If so that may be it. Scan your computer for viruses, trojan's, spyware etc too.

Make sure your WTF folder isn't set to read-only under properties. What OS are you running? (Vista can be a real pain for mods some times)

Sry forgot to mention but i use xp. And im not altf4 out of the game. And i guess my folder arent read only because ive tried to install some other but they didnt work neither. But if it help this started happen after I tried install Sewell UI on this site.

But running a virus test wasnt a bad idea

Im running one now ill find out if it works after.

How does that mean that your folder is not write protected? Read Only = Write Protected. If a folder and its files are read only, that means that it only gets read and nothing gets written to it - ie, no changes get saved.

I suck in explaining so i added a pic. When i open properties for the WTF folder i see a square on the box(pic). Then i unselect it and press OK. Then i reopen the properties again the ugly box is there still.

And i tried install sewell probably 3 days ago or something.

Have you installed UI Central in the past couple weeks, or any mods from incgamers.com? Sounds like you have the symptoms of a keylogger I got from there.

It's a keylogger I think. You need to gain the wtf folder privileges. If you got win xp you can check if there is an hidden account with regedit -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows NT -> CurrentVersion -> Winlogon -> SpecialAccounts -> UserList
If you see a weird name like "sdflahjkofsglsdmd" then you got a trojan ^^.

Yup it was a trojan. And Thx ALOT for your people's help to get rid of it. I mixed http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...7361#post77361 and http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...68363293&sid=1 to get rid of the trojan. (Thx again Cairenn) Hopefully its far away now.

I am SO sorry you got it in the first place.

Glad you were able to get rid of it relatively easily. Please do make sure you change your WoW password, just to be safe.
