Help me please!!

I've read ton's of ways on how to get addons and other things on there. But they never work! What should I do? I have them in the addon folders but I never see an addon button when I log onto WoW.

Help?

First of all, make sure you have a valid addon with valid directory architecture inside your folder Addons. You need at last a valid .toc file and perhaps one or more .lua files. If you grap any of the addons on this page, this will be fine.

Remember to not only copy them to your addons folder but to extract them!

If you now got a file hierarchy following this example:
[Your WOW install dir]\Interface\Addons\ExampleMod\ExampleMod.toc
[Your WOW install dir]\Interface\Addons\ExampleMod\Anyname.lua
and following correctly felt file listing

and you start WoW and log in, you will detect on your character selection screen at the bottom left the desired button.

If not, repeat, you may have missed some step, i.e. mixed up the extraction.

Thanks! You were right, I missed the extraction into the addons, thank you so much!
