Which is what I've done (obsessively during the last week).

Wow, there needs to be a filter on the visual styles that removes every style with some asian girl on the desktop :P

Decided to try something different for a change, and swapped out the whole shell. It's pretty configurable, and I'm getting used to it, so it shouldn't be long before I make myself a good theme.

Wait, nix that, I'm lazy, so it could take months or longer. >.<

I was thinking some type of FPS aswell. What springed to mind was Counter-Strike though.

The very same here! I used to do this a lot when I ran Windows XP, it was easier. Now I don't have the patience to tinker with Windows 7.

well, after fiddling with rainmeter for a day and a half, i settled for the HUD arrangement. I think it came out nicer than i thought on my part

I have like 23 different wall papers, just from browsing the internet, and I have it set up that every 30 minutes or so, it just changes backgrounds. I like it
