StUF - Replacing Icons with Text

As the title states, is it possible to replace the icons within StUF with text? For example, rather than having a PvP icon it appears as text reading "PvP".

Sure, you could hide the icon and use a text area instead.

I would sincerely love to know how I can change icons - Player Status, PvP, Player Role, etc - into text areas on StUF.
