I heard about the 20-some pages of that and the massive ban wave that ensued. People were actually removed from alpha and some even had their live accounts banned. That all happened while the servers were down for emergency maintenance.

It wasn't during downtime for a build, it was during raid testing, the realms/the encounter was not stable enough so testing couldn't occur, and thus they fled to the forums to vent their frustration, not condoning what they did, just correcting you.

I remember they had to bring down the servers for something, I was on at the time and it was a few hours before the raid was scheduled to open. I just don't remember why. I thought it was the build, but that actually happened a couple days later. I honestly didn't bother correcting it since it really wasn't the point of the post, but since you brought it up, I might as well do it.

Is /dump and /run working on the alpha? They occasionally forget to turn that back on.

They just released the build today. I'm currently downloading it, so I can't confirm at this time. I'll come back with an update once I'm able to.

both commands seems to work fine.

I don't even use the built-in /dump command. I made my own that handles circular and back references better. Anyway, I managed to load my development environment and a slimmed-down version of SlashHelp.

Yes I made one in 2005 it's not hard to do. But until I get in I depend on a guildmate to /dump some returns. It would impose more than I already do to ask him to download an addon to do it.

And sorry Cairenn for not asking in a separate thread.

Yes I made one in 2005 it's not hard to do.
It depends on how much you want to support with it. I've seen many implementations that recursively call functions, which can lead to troubles depending on how deep a table goes. There is a limit to how big your call stack can get. I haven't seen many that won't go into an infinite loop when a circular reference is encountered. For example, _G._G=_G

For those with access, is the game already loading addons .tga images? (or it is all green) I remember on WoD it took a while for this get a fix.

Its not that those are disabled, but we've been told they have been working on changing some resource loading functionality, and the green addon textures is just a bug.

texture:SetTexture(r, g, b, a) changes into texture:SetColorTexture(r, g, b, a)

BLP enabled or just an overall nope to custom textures?

I hope they fix the implementation of texture masking since it's prone to random latency spikes in its current state.
