I fell for the bogus update message in game and now I cannot reinstall carbonite. Yes I know how to download, yes I know how to unzip, yes I know where to put the unzipped file. Now I have a list of files in the correct place and no carbonite in game.

What operating system and what is the installation path of World of Warcraft.

The message is just a date we put in the addon to nudge people who keep using old versions to get an update after a few months. The date is just an estimate. The message started Wednesday, since the date for the message had not been increased for a few versions and the current version has been out for a while.

I hope to have a new version out this weekend.

Did you delete the previous Carbonite folder? You would unzip it again to the same location that you deleted it from.

You would then have 3 folders:

World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Carbonite
World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\CarboniteNodes
World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\CarboniteTransfer
