Combat Text Size

I'm looking for a way to decrease the size of blizzards combat text. I'd prefer not to install a huge mod for it. In fact, if anyone is familiar with the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance series of games for the console, I would actually prefer for the combat text to act like that.
