Are there any addons that can just mark things on the map, with it already marked? Carbonite does more than that, so I'm not really into that, all I want is for places on the map to be marked.

Map notes is the oldest addon to do this (that I'm aware of) and it's a well-known standard. However, if you want an addon that has optional plugins for map note databases (flight masters, etc) then look at HandyNotes on Curse.
