Nameplates Question

I would like to have nameplates for friendly and enemy units, but I want both to be different...

For friendly units, I just want their name above their head (in white text that doesn't scale with how far they are, so it can be read...) -- without a healthbar

For enemy units, I want the normal blizzard nameplates (or something similar, but I'm used to blizzards)

Anyone know if this setup is possible with the current addons? (or if the blizzard interface allows it)

this is on Aloft's list of things to do at some point... but it would be a large undertaking, and i have not gotten to it yet.

anyway, i can confirm Aloft is not able to provide this yet.

and given the fact that Blizzard recycles nameplates (re-uses them continuously as units spawn/die, go in/out of range, etc), you would need a nameplate addon that restores nameplates to their original forms when not of a "type" subject to modification.
