Looks like a bad load. As for other mods, I see you have at least a damage meter running (lloks like Recount) down in the bottom right hand corner. you might want to install something like buggrabber to see where the load is failing

You are either installing the wrong version of nUI or you have some other major catastrophe occurring. Do the following...
  1. exit WoW
  2. go to the [ World of Warcraft ] folder
  3. rename [WTF] to [WTF.saved] and [Interface] to [Interface.saved]
  4. log into WoW but do not enter the world
  5. if you have an "AddOns" button at the character selection screen, go back to step 1, you are in the wrong [World of Warcraft] folder
  6. if you do *NOT* have an "AddOns" button, enter the world on any toon
  7. exit WoW again
  8. install nUI 5.07.06 (Development) into the [Interface > AddOns] folder
  9. log into to WoW again
  10. if you do *NOT* have an "AddOns" button at the character selection screen go back to step 7
  11. enter the world
does everything work correctly now?

It sounds like you may be having problems extracting the zip file.

What is the name of the nUI folder in the AddOns folder ?

It should be nUI. Nothing else. If it says a bunch of letters and numbers after nUI then you have put the extracted folder directly into the AddOns folder. The folder inside that folder will show nUI on its own and needs to be moved to the AddOns folder.

The proper folder hierarchy should be as follows:

Interface > AddOns > nUI > nUI.toc

If you are not seeing an nUI folder then thats the problem.

Of course if you are then hmm make sure inside that folder you see the nUI.toc file.

You installed it incorrectly...

You should have the folder [ Interface > AddOns > nUI ] and all of the nUI stuff should be in there. You copied everything from the [ nUI ] folder in the ZIP file into your [ Interface > AddOns ] folder when you should have copied the actual [ nUI ] folder there.

No. The only place to download the current version of nUI is here on wowinterface.

What is nUI-14? That's not how it is distributed and that will no work as intended.

You need to download the nUI+ 5.07.06 (Development) version from here at WoW Interface. You cannot use the version that is currently on Curse.com -- to do that you need to be subscribed to the (free) nUI newsletter at http://www.nUIaddon.com/plus.html -- once you're subscribed to that, you'll be sent directions on how to access the nUI+ private download area (also free).

Once you have access to the download area, download the current "nUI+ (Development)" version whatever that may be when you get to it, then follow these directions...
  1. Exit WoW
  2. go to the [ World of Warcraft ] folder
  3. rename [WTF] to [WTF.saved] and [Interface] to [Interface.saved]
  4. log in to WoW, but do not enter the world
  5. do you have an "AddOns" button at the character selection screen?
  6. if you do, go back to step 1, you're in the wrong [World of Warcraft] folder
  7. if you do not, enter the world on any toon
  8. exit WoW again
  9. unzip the entire contents of the nUI download ZIP into the [World of Warcraft > Interface > AddOns] folder
  10. log in to WoW again, but do not enter the world
  11. if you do not have an "AddOns" button, go back to step 8, you installed nUI incorrectly
  12. if you do have an addons button, enter the world... everything *should* work now

I had Nui loaded before but now I'm having trouble loading it. Are there any Mac users who can possibly give me a hand on how they loaded this ? Thanks ahead of time

I do this:

I have a folder inside my downloads folder called "addons for wow".
I manually download all my addons then
go to my dowload folder and move the downloaded addon zip files into "addons for wow"
open "addons for wow" and double click on the zip file(s) I want to open. This puts the addon folders (for example "nUI") in the "addons for wow" folder.
drag the addon folder(s) to the "addons" folder icon in the "places" list on the left side of the file window.
To get the "addons" folder icon there, go to the dock, right click the WoW launcher icon, and select "show in finder" from the options. This will put you in your WoW folder (btw, you should only have one "World of Warcraft" folder on your Mac; it should be in the Applications folder). Now find your Interface folder, open it, and drag the Addons folder to the Places list.
log in to WoW and make sure that the addons you just installed show up in the addons list and are selected (and not marked "out of date").

One thing you might want to do with addons that have multiple folders (like Altoholic/Datastore) is to delete all those relevant folders from your addons folder before updating. This avoids the problem of obsolete folders hanging around, and ensures you have a good install.
