'Action is Equipped' for Ammo/No 'Autocast' for Hidden Buttons

I have two different kinds of ammo and I'm trying to make button controls for each where when one is equipped, the button flashes and the other dims and vice versa. However, I don't think the 'Action is Equipped' is working for the ammo slot.

Also, the Autocast for button control scripts does not seem to work if the button is hidden. I was thinking about making a few Autocast conditions when I was at ranged and melee and hiding those buttons away, but it doesn't seem to work that way.
