Carbonite quests not in database?

I have noticed with MoP that when I log out and then log back in, the quests which I previously were able to track are now no longer in the database. I am not sure if this is a bug or something that I am doing/not doing correctly. Any insight into this issue would be appreciated. I end up having to abandon and re-gather the quests in order to make them traceable.
