The case of the disappearing tooltips?

If I hover over the loot windows after a boss kill, my tooltip, (the one that shows weapon/armor stats) appears for a brief second and then disappears. The only way to get it to show is to turn my back on the monster's corpse. Any idea what causes this and is there a fix?

Its been mentioned a few times and I myself have had the problem and do just the same thing. As to why it happens I don't know but I suspect its something perhaps beyond the control of nUI. Scott will be able to confirm. I can't recall the last update on this but the work around is to do just what we have been doing .. turn round and then hover over.

now the way I've got around it is by facing a wall so there is nothing that the loot icon isn't over anything that the mouse could pick up on(corpse, mob, teammate, treasure chest, etc.) and you should be fine or you could click on the corpse and open the blizz loot window and look at it in there. hope that helped

second screenshot is the location using nui movers that i found has the least problems with this problem

I am actually having a problem with a different tooltip disappearing. I recently switched servers, and when I loaded for the first time on the new server, I had to re-configure all of my addons. I have the nUI Aura Buttons addon for my buffs, but none of them are showing a tooltip. That is the only part that doesn't show tooltips, and I have tried deleting and re-installing, to no avail. Thanks for any help,

Do you have the advanced tooltips option enabled in the WoW interface settings?

This option toggles display of action button tooltips on and off while in combat lockdown. The default is to hide the tooltips in your action bar buttons while in combat.

I have the advanced tooltips turned on, and I have the in combat turned of, which is how its always been. With the last update I noticed I couldn't see the tooltips anymore. Not sure if they are just showing off screen, but messin with the location of the tooltips still didn't help. I'll keep messin with tooltip settings to see if its something I can fix, otherwise i'll just purge and re download.
