nUI GUI config tool

Here is my latest version of the nUI_Config_GUI addon which adds the new RaidSort and MountScale options to the GUI configuration window.

We need to get this put in place of Kodewulf's out of date addon somehow.

Not the original code is by Kodewulf.

I would just go ahead and upload it as a new plugin to the same "nUI: Enhancements" section as "nUI Config [GUI Continued]" -- If Kodewulf makes it back you two can merge the project, otherwise you can just keep on keeping on with it as its own project until I get all the GUI into nUI itself.

Hi Spiel,

Is Nui Enhancements section the same as the Download section for Nui addons?

There's quite a few different categories of nUI downloads... look here... http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/cat125.html

"nUI: Enhancements" is one of those categories. This download section is, effectively, for plugins to nUI that extend nUI's function without being specific to the info panel, unit frame panels or HUD, etc.

I have done as Scott suggested. Time will tell when the Addon gets approved.

I also uploaded my nUI_HUDLevel addon, which displays the target Level on the nUI HUD as well. That has been put into the HUD Design section.

Hopefully both will show up soon.

I notice that your version of the tool is a lot smaller than Kodewulf's -- any idea why the size difference? (Ace Libraries?)

Kode's code contained the ACEGUI-3.0/ folder, which isn't necessary for the functioning of this addon. I suspect that also may be the problem some people have had with getting this addon to work.

You know what, I wonder if it is the other way around. I have several Addon's with the ACE Libraries. I wonder if the ACEGui folder missing in this addon is ok on my system because ACE is loading it somewhere else.

Real problem with ACE, it gets duplicate all over your system. I may do some testing later. If someone finds this is a problem, I can add it in.

That's kind of what I was worried about... if someone only has nUI and the GUI Config loaded, then they wouldn't have the Ace 3 Library installed anywhere unless it was included in the GUI... which is also why I hate using libraries.

Yeah I've made a point of steering clear of using ace in any of my addons. Made for interesting learning though

Which I guess is why right now we have the slash commands for nUI. Gotcha.

I hadn't given it any thought since it isn't really my Addon, I'm just updating it because Kodewulf has been on hiatus.

I'll see about putting in the other libs so it works for folks (the one or two of them that exist I suspect) who don't have Ace otherwise.

Nah... we don't have a built in GUI yet because it wasn't that highly important to me and, to be honest, in part because this plugin exists which makes it even less important to deal with.

As for the one or two... looks to me like you already have 125 downloads... so I'm guessing you exceeded that pretty quickly ~smile~

Whew!! I couldn't remember which sections of the Forum I asked you about it. LOL.

I couldn't find your answer until this morning. I was reading thru all the sections trying to find where I ask you this question.

Is there a section of this forum where a person can click to see all the questions they have asked about or wrote about?
So if they are trying to find an answer to a question they can just click on their name and see all the questions they have ask?

if you go to http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/search.php on the right hand side there is a search box.. put your name (or anybody's name) and there is a little drop down box.. you can search for posts by this person or search for threads by this person.. that should help ya

If you have scripting enabled in your browser, you can just left click your name in any post you've made (or any other user's name in the posts they've made) and you will get a drop-down menu of which one of the options is "Find more posts by {user name}" -- it's a shortcut to what Baltharus suggests.

don't worry i haven't either

nUI is the only forum i post on... mostly because its such a great mod and the community is pretty awesome
