Told myself the same thing when I logged on this morning. Have yet to find inspiration. I've been looking at gameplay's of other games to try imitate em.

I might try to pull of the HUD of Halo or something similar

My current oUF_Ghost layout.

Target and Focus Health is reversed, no power bars, just numbers. Separate castbars, filtered debuffs (only shows players debuffs and white-listed debuffs),

Some colors and the font are open to change, but I quite like the layout so far.

Wish you had a better quality image~

WoWWiki Link

But overall.. I'm kinda 'meh' about it. I never truly liked using rectangles in my UI besides for panels. Ya I don't think I can offer to much criticism until the image quality is a lil better ><

Content. Fixing a few things here and there (such as fonts), but I am satisfied. Now to finish leveling my Warrior...

Raid frames will be vertical, on the right side.

i love it, the only problem i have is that the border texture is so thick that on a smaller screen resolution like mine (1280x1024) it would look cluttered. but on your screen it looks so good

I like the border on the loot frame too. I achieve the same type of effect by putting the beautycase border on Butsu.

In layout.lua change:
Code:
Butsu:SetBackdrop{
	bgFile = "Interface\\Tooltips\\UI-Tooltip-Background", tile = true, tileSize = 16,
	edgeFile = "Interface\\Tooltips\\UI-Tooltip-Border", edgeSize = 16,
	insets = {left = 4, right = 4, top = 4, bottom = 4},
}
Butsu:SetBackdropColor(0, 0, 0, 1)
to:

Code:
Butsu:SetBackdrop{
	bgFile = "Interface\\Tooltips\\UI-Tooltip-Background", tile = true, tileSize = 16,
}
Butsu:CreateBeautyBorder(12)
Butsu:SetBackdropColor(0, 0, 0, .8)

You UI feels heavy on the left side. Unbalanced. Moreso in the out-of-combat screenshot.

Agreed, also with BarMods you need to make sure if the anchor is "Bottom" you put a ----> .5 <---- so that the skins are actually pixel perfect. It's like that for every one of my computers (3 laptops and 1 iMac) so I assume it's like that for everyone else.

Also, Using Attachments on this site make the image better quality as well as making it easier then uploading to photobucket/tinypic/imgurw.e etc etc. (most image sites decrease the image size and quality for some reason).

Oh before I forget, anyone not using a Font addon to change their ingame fonts for things such as their Keybind, I suggest this useful under rated addon CleanHotKey.

So, after fumble farting a little more with what Haylie had mentioned, I decided to clean it up even further and this is the result. I'll have to post action piccies later working in the "back to school" weeks are killing my game time. C&C always welcome!

What textures are you using for the panels behind your actionbars and unit frames? Me likey.

Heheh! KgPanels gradients and blending is your friend!

I basically used what was already defaulted with ferous media + shared media. Took the Solid Texture and played with the colors along with it's transparency values to get the effect that I desired. The background unitframes are the same way. Though, I do want to change the background values of the target when they are in combat, this would help greatly in an at-a-glance moment.

Yeah, I don't like it either. Honestly, I am having a hard time with fonts. I am probably going back to Accidental Presidency, that way it is legible.
