Chat window names

is there an addon to change the style and the behavior of chat window names? couldn't find it anywhere. currently I'm using Prat as a chat addon and it does his job well, but I can't seem to find a feature that could make these "tabs" look more stylish, customizable and to make them popup 'solidly', like when I'm mouse-overing them, they popup immediately, and when mouse goes away, they disappear.

could someone at least make a suggestion?

thanks in advance

Have you looked at Fane?

Isn't that what "remove chat hover delay" does?

I also know of nothing other than Fane. You can always delve into the code if you don't find it does exactly what you want. Either way, it should be a step up.

Chatter

Check out the second to last "feature" that's listed on that page.

I love chatter more than prat anyway. There I said it!

EDIT: Also, Skinner will also let you do this, at least the last time I used it did. But it's a lot of crap to load up just to modify the chat tabs if that's all you use it for, but if you like all the stuff Skinner does then there's that too.

I checked out Chatter and was liking it a lot. I've been a Prat user for as long as I've been playing but Chatter seemed lighterweight and still did what Prat did (that I could notice).

The only thing keeping me from switching over is that I couldn't find the option to place the editbox.. I've had it on the top of the chatframe forever and I just can't adjust to having it on the bottom.

Limb0, it's in the "Edit Box Polish" screen, somewhere. I use chatter, and I keep my chat window in the top right of the screen (where the minimaps and buffs are in most UI's).

I too use chatter, it has the most options and customs for any chat add out there.!!
