Why do i need a password for mods

When i try to extract the mods to the WoW addon folder it says i need a password why is this?

First of all, you already posted this in another thread so don't keep reposting it.

Second, which mod is it that you're trying to extract?

None of the zip files here that I've seen require a password. So unless there is a specific one thats giving you trouble that you can point out and we can test there is something wrong with your unzip program. You may want to try un-installing it and re-installing your unzip program.

What is asking for the password? The operating system or the zip file? Mac or PC, OS version, etc.

Use XP standard zip utility or use 7-Zip for windows for all our addon needs. If using a Mac, StuffIt expander I think is still the standard.
