Error : low framerate in Blackwing descent

When in Blackwing descent, my framerate drop down to 20 ips (instead of 160). The Lua error counter shows error every ms (maybe 100 error/s). All other addons were deactivated while testing. In other raid instances or outside, i don't have any error. I actually use v4.01 beta 1, but the same problem had occured with previous versions.
Playing on French client.

On top of that, anything above 13 fps appears, to the human eye/brain connection, to be smooth video. I STILL don't understand why people complain about not having 50+ frames per second.

Oh ! Sorry ! I didn't knew we were in an ophthalmology forum ! Sorry for submitting bugs in there...

And of course, how can I see the Lua error counter going so fast... my eyes and my brain can't !!!

Please stop troll this post (@tinyu : nice to see that wowui moderators are trolls)

It's the the human eye has a limit but the problem is making the screen updates match the eye interval, it's not easy so instead you have a bunch more fps on top. My experience is that around 75 it is plenty of additional fps and the eye can't really see much difference anything above that. Over 100 is just showing off your hardware. :P

Anyway rule of thumb is having the fps limit to the screen Hz, I got a 60Hz screen so I cap my fps at 60 too. Anything above is simply rendered in the software but not shown on screen because of hardware limitations.

About the problem, it's caused by the addon trying to compare a number to nothing, not much you can do except wait for a fix. I myself don't use it and last time I checked the code was very hard to read, using a lot of weird variable names, making it hard to debug hehe.

The real source may be split up in files and a lot of documentation but they use a program to go trough it and put all in one file, also rename variables and make the size of the file as small as possible.

I'd just submit the bug report and disable the addon until it's updated. :<

First: I apologize to you, Araldwenn. I (and tinyu, I'm guessing) was not "trolling" this forum, or your post. I have a problem whenever I see a post complaining about fps below "xx" because it's not my normal fps of "WOW IT"S REALLY HIGH XXX". However, in our defense, although both of our posts contained (apparently) little known factoids about the human ophthalmic system they are, indeed, facts.

Second: No, you definitely came to the right place to post your Carbonite bug.

Third: There are a couple of other posts about the BWD problem and my guess is that the Carbonite dev team haven't nailed down the exact cause of the problem just yet. I'm sure that when they do, there will be a fix (read: new release) posted for it. In the meantime, I suggest either disabling Carbonite whenever you go there, or putting up with the fps drop and the constant Lua errors while you are in BWD.

Actually, you were posting Rumors and Misleading Information. The Human Eye can see many more frames per second than 30 or even 60. It is rumored, however, that you can only see as high as 30 or 60 because most Devices cap themselves out at these levels.

Maybe you should double check your facts, since they are wrong.

I made two changes that may fix the problem for our next version. Let us know if it fixes it. If not, then posting the very first error message should help us (which was done, thanks).

Based on the error above, my changes should fix it.
