Latest News - Updated Information:

  • I will be patching in refinements to further improve the overall theme. (see release notes)
Be sure to read installation instructions, and any “Special notes” below.
  • Added Holiday Lights and Ornaments, whew on the 11th hour...nearly.

Release notes:
  • This patch installs to both \World of Warcraft\data\interface AND \World of Warcraft\Interface. This is because TKing_Winterwood1.zip and TKing_Winterwood1.exe install to different folders. (as we are migrating to the latter folder with subsequent interface themes). Please make note of this when uninstalling this theme.

Installation instructions:
[list]Make sure you first have Winterwood installed. (see links above)
  • Save TKing_HolidayLights.zip to your World of Warcraft folder, and extract. You must allow extraction to overwrite files if prompted to do so, unless you suspect there are custom graphics belonging to an addon (in any case this shouldn’t be a problem).
(PLEASE NOTE) When you select Extract All, make sure the destination for the extraction is \program files\world of warcraft - and not \program files\world of warcraft\TKing_HolidayLights\ - simply backspace over the \TKing_HolidayLights path.
  • The .zip file creates the folder \data\interface with additional subfolders containing the graphics (.blp) files. To remove this theme, simply remove the subfolders beneath \data\interface.
  • Launch World of Warcraft.

That’s all there is to it!

Still having problems installing this theme? try the following:
  • Please make sure when you select and right-click the file: TKing_HolidayLights.zip to extract it, that you are choosing the option to "Extract Here", here being the current folder of: \Program Files\World of Warcraft.
  • Those who have WinRar on their systems, have the context menu option to extract the files to a folder with the same name as the .zip file, which would be: \Program Files\World of Warcraft\TKing_HolidayLights, this method is incorrect. Do not select the option to extract to a path, as all the necessary paths are already stored within TKing_HolidayLights.zip.
  • Extract TKing_HolidayLights.zip into the folder: \Program Files\World of Warcraft. TKing_HolidayLights.zip will not place any files in the root World of Warcraft folder. It will create the necessary subfolders for the custom interface graphics.

I love all of the releases you have put out so far, but in all of them the background of windows (mail, spells, any other textured background) is plain and doesnt really seem to fit in. Wont stop me from using it as everything else is perfect but it drives me crazy!

I will patch in cursors to all the themes, including enhancements to significantly sharpen the graphics after the holidays (like right after New Years, sooner if I can manage). I had a full schedule for December that did not account for patching in fixes/updates. I'm creating custom macros to batch the process wow UI files, to vastly speed things up.

Sorry for the wait on these. I'll make it worth your while.
