Unit frames/Raid frames

Is there an addon that treats raid frames like they're unit frames, instead of bars of color with names?

I'd like a display of raid parties more like the party frames, so that it doesn't really look different, and auto-positions based upon how many are in the raid.

Anyone know of something like that?

A every unit is a unitframe, no matter how it looks like, even if it is just a name.

So I assume you mean portraits + bars + names instead of just bars + names? And you are talking about blizzards default UI?

There's a reason why raid frames look different than party frames in general. Just imagine the space consumed by 40 units using the size and shape of blizzards default party frame. "Auto placing" wouldn't help at all.
This would be possible for small sized raids, only.

Well, if you have ten people, they fit down the left as a list like the default party frames. If you have fifteen or twenty, they fit as two rows. It's not until you get to more than twenty (four groups) that you need to eliminate everything.

It's just annoying to me that I have to set this stuff up while in a raid. Who has time for that crap?

I would like a unitframe addon that had these things pre-set, and would remember settings for one, two, three, n groups, so I don't have to. And it would let me have portraits and class icons as options in these settings instead of just colors.

STUF, Pitbull, Shadowed Unitframes and propably some I don't remember right now can set everything up, at any time. Including frame appearance, position, etc.

Hmm, thanks! Shadowed seemed... Complex, but it looks like I can make one of them do what I want.

I'm an old Cosmos user, so 4.0 compliant stuff is just kinda... Well, half the things I used to use don't work anymore.
