Just out of curiosity, did you remove your existing nUI beta 4 directory before you installed 5.0?

Insurance refuesed to pay to fix the pool because "the porch was sub-standard construction"

There's always a reason why they won't pay the big bills... never a reason you can't pay your bill though.

just curious but how do you get characters to appear higher on the screen? i noticed that when i use nui the character is higher up my screen giving more room for addons etc under him

I actually move the WorldFrame up by 1/2 the height of the dashboard in order to keep the player character centered in the remaining viewable area and to reduce how much view port is lost to the dashboard.

Reading through them now.

What I did spot was that the new Animation class they have setup replaces the old animation setup which utilized the setpoint functions. Wonder if that is what is causing those setpoint related problems.

I did.. I disbeled all addons exept omen, recount, nuidragon, nui_infopanel and nuiconfig, but still the same.. when nui_minimap is activated it screws the middle char/group window.. I add 2 screenshots.. before and after activating minimap

I have noticed a weird issue when using 5.0 and the Stats plugin

When I first log in, Recount does not seem to pick up any combat information.

I can kill mobs, but recount does not show any information about the fight.

I can fix it by doing a /nui rl.

This has happened the last 4 times I have logged in.

I have only tested with all of my mods enable. I have not done a test with only Nui, Omen, Recount, & Stats plugin running.

More Info:
This is on the live servers not the ptr.
I am using the plugin that switches between omen and recount based on whether you are in combat or not.

Okay, looks like theres not much we can do watchframe wise as they have made it movable and changeable by the user.

As you can see in the image below the user now will have the ability to move, resize and change the opacity of the window. The larger the window the more items that can be watched and it seems to need to be really big to watch some of the achievements. Ah, just realised that the bottom segment of the watch frame is for the quest timer so I guess that space isn't allowed to be used for achievement watching and quest watching. What I could see was that Achievements are listed at the top of the frame with Quests below them followed by the Timer if one exists. There seemed to be quite a few functions that may allow more flexibility on this but guess it will take some time to figure out.

You are still limited to 10 quest watches so I guess space permitting you can have that and a few achievements if you have a full height watch window. Of course if the font was smaller, which blizz hasn't allowed you to change from what I can see, you could possibly get more in there or use a smaller window. Yep, looking at the WatchFrame.xml file they have the main font set to 16. I'm sure it won't be long before people will allow that to be adjusted to suit the individual.

What I did have to do though is add this line into nUI_Movers.lua to replace the QuestWatch and QuestTimer mover lines.

If we just have this code in and they don't shift control of it to themselves nothing seems to appear when the user first logs in - but that could be simply a bug. Yep, for some reason it isn't remembering the items being tracked when you re-log.

Ignore the little face in the image below. That was a test of the new Animation functionality that they posted up on the forums as an example.

I haven't tried fighting yet but at the moment I only have the minimal for nUI installed so will activate omen and recount and see what happens.

edit: Okay, just tested in Dun Nifflem doing dailies there and all seemed to be working well. Have the nUI addons as well as healbot, omen and recount.

edit2: oops .. just realised you might not have been talking about test server .. my apologies .. but I've never had a problem with them on live either.

I barely sold my house after a divorce a year ago in December. If I were trying to sell it now it would not be a good thing. After hearing the vacation story and the water pipes it is important that all people know to turn your water off anytime you leave the house for longer than a day. Find your main line and ALWAYS turn it off when you leave for vacation. Water is the counter class for a house and you will flood your house someday if you leave it on while you are gone for extended periods. It's murphys law.

v5 first glance

Scott,
I've been using a fresh install of the mailed V5 since day one. (Zipped interface and WTF folders, logged in no add-ons, logged out. Installed nUI5 logged in / out. Repeated proccess with additional add-on(s) one at a time) using hitsmode, recount, omen, questhelper/omen auto-bar and a host of libDataBroker adds with fubar. I have not really experienced any issues. One tip to everyone though: I installed broker-memory which can force garbage collection on click. Total mem of all adds is aprox 75mb. When questhelper is active, this climbs upwards of 100mb. Forcing garbage collection reduces back to the 75 mark and seems to increase framerate. In 25man naxx, I have to gc after every fight to keep the interface playable on my 6-year old xp laptop. I did not need to gc at all on the debian 1 year old system with 9800 series video card. Framerate seems to be inversly perportional to memory usage on my setup. I experienced no issues in vehicles using the bliz vehicle overlay.

I'm sure you've tracked it down Scott but just in case you haven't I found out why the minimapcompassring was having problems. They renamed it. Changed the following in nUI_Minimap.lua and all seems fine. Although I noticed that the nUI GUI doesn't automatically reloadui to reflect the changes but oh well. If you look at the minimap.xml file on the test server and search for compass the only references you see are to the texture file name. Tracked it back to the frame name itself and tada. I'm guessing though that you later on hide the MinimapCompassRing as I can't see it when nUI has control of it.

From the picture you posted I can only think of two things that might help. First make sure nui minimap control is enabled and do a quick nui reload. If the problem still persists look in the wtf folder and erase any saved variables dealing with mods you no longer use. I may be wrong but it looks like something is grabbing the minimap out of the info panel from what I can tell.

Hey scott I just did a quest in Zal'Drak called 'Rolling Down Hill' its a 75 level quest where you get a pet. Seems pet bar wont come up with NUI enabled
the aura bar extends similar to the bag bar problem but the pet buttons do not appear (unless i am missing something never really played with a pet class before)
just wanted to let you know

I'll check that with my warlock .. it should work the same way. See if I get the same problem. D'oh .. My main is a shadow priest. I'm sure I've not seen any problems. From memory, and I'll correct it if I'm wrong, the pet buttons go up on the top near where the stance buttons are and above the main action bar.

Combat feedback on unit frames...

I thought I would share some screencaps of the combat feedback system on nUI's unit frames...

The shots here show the party frame, 10, 15 and 40 man raids all with combat feedback enabled.

The red border shows who has agro -- green, blue, yellow, purple are disease, magic, poison and curse. The red and green backgrounds show who is taking damage and who is receiving heals.

Is it putting up the pet bar but just with no icons in the buttons? Or no pet bar at all?
