New Chrome Beta Sharpens Text on Windows

Chrome 37 Beta was announced on Thursday, bringing with it support for DirectWrite, a long sought after improvement that makes Chrome text crisper and sharper. Several other improvements are incorporated in 37 Beta, which will work its way through the Stable Channel in about six weeks.
It's taken four and a half years but the engineering gurus toiling away on Google Chrome have finally improved how the browser renders text on Windows.

I've enabled this in the flags in version 35, but it might not be as refined or complete as on 37.

The newer Chromium-based versions of Opera have had this for a while, too, but since it's been a year and they still haven't implemented even a tenth of the many, many features that have made Opera my browser of choice for nearly 15 years, I'm still using Opera 12 as my daily browser.

Still, at least Chrome users are no longer stuck with spidery pixelated text from the '90s, so grats Chrome users on finally joining us here in the 21st century!
