add Carbonite map feat

It would be really really cool if there was a small addon to enable carbonite map etc to the righthand side map/omen/whatever window ?

Can't seem to find anything on that subject, so i thought i'd write as i use Carbonite a lot

There have been a few people who have made noise about creating a Carbonite plugin for nUI's info panel, but no one has yet and I haven't had the time. If and when I do, I will... hopefully someone else will before then.

and with my lunch hour over, I pulled a lazy and emailed my code to our fearless leader. Hopefully it'll be up and you can enjoy Carbonite in that awesome Infopanel space.

DISCLAIMER - I wrote this in about 10 min, so the code ... it is a very not pretty hack. But it works very well. Also, you will need to manually size and place the Carbonite window into the newly available blank Carbonite pane, but this addon will take care of hiding/showing the map as you toggle frames, much like you would expect. If I get more spare time, or it annoys me enough, I'll track down how to force Carbonite into that space automatically, but given the limited amount of control I have over Carbonite (they do obfuscate there code, so I can currently only use the slash commands they exposes) I don't have too high hopes.

Actually... I gave the wrong instructions... go to http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/cat135.html and click the "Upload" link and you an add it to the site yourself.

If you do that, then you can update the plugin yourself if and when you get the urge to tinker with it.

I tried the upload link, but I don't see the nUI group on the options for some reason.

If you go to the link I gave and click the "Upload" button, it should take you to http://www.wowinterface.com/download...load&catid=135 which will automatically place your plugin in nUI's Info Panel category unless I'm missing something.

Of course, now that I've posted that link, you can just go to it directly ~smile~

I get a permissions error when I attempt to follow the direct link, and the original link took me to a generic upload page, which has a drop down for every possible upload location ... except nUI.

No problem. Sorry about that. You know how sometimes you can't find a problem because (a) you did the work in the first place and (b) you've been staring at it so long that you just can't see it, and all it takes is a fresh pair of eyes to see where the problem is?
